Sorry Tammy, I forgot to mention that it appears that we already have SP1 installed.
Marketplace only lists Design Studio 1.1 for download - we did a fresh installation of the 1.1 client on a new workstation that did not have Design Studio 1.0 Client installed.
We also rolled out the BO4 server add-on for 1.1 so all that is in order.
Note that the Marketplace description for the 1.1 download does not include a hint of SP01:

Then we noticed the SP01 download that is available under Support Packages:

We downloaded the SP01 patch as well but when trying to install this, the installer told us that this patch had already been installed.
So therefore I assume that the components in the full Design Studio 1.1 download are already at SP01?

PS: Regarding the other browsers, do note that the DS 1.1 PAM only lists IE 9 and IE 10 as supported browsers.
PS 2: Why would the glossy style not come back? We went from 4-5 predefined styles to none in version 1.1 - surely that is not progress?
