Hi Ron Chin
Format of the Data Files
The data files can be prepared in the following types:
- *.csv file
- *.txt file
You can use the following as the delimiter:
- Comma (,) for *.csv file
- Semicolon (;) for *.csv file
- Tab for *.txt file
Procedure
- Extract the data to be migrated from your legacy system.
- Map and convert the extracted data to the format that the Data Transfer Workbench supports.
In the Step 4: Select Data Source window, specify the source files that contain the data to be added or updated and choose the Next button.
Use the dropdown list to select the type of the data file(s). The available options are: csv (comma delimited), csv (semicolon delimited), txt (tab delimited), and ODBC.
- For the options csv (comma delimited), csv (semicolon delimited), and txt (tab delimited), click the
(Browse) icon to select a source file.
- For the option ODBC, refer to Extracting Data from ODBC.
